How to Get Your Russian Work Visa

If you want to work in the Russian Federation, you need a work visa. A work visa can be good for up to 90 days and can be given for one or two entries. Also, work visas can be used for multiple visits and can be good for as long as three years. The dates that your visa is valid will match the dates on your welcome letter from the Russian Federal Migration Service.

When you apply for a work visa, you need to show your HIV test certificate. When filing for a work visa with multiple visits for three years, highly skilled professionals do not need to write a cover letter.

Required papers: a current passport with at least two blank pages (they don't have to be next to each other) and a validity of six months or more after the visa expires.

The visa application form was filled out and printed from this website: https://e-immigration.ru/. Please make sure that the dates you put on the application form for when you enter and leave match with or fall within the dates in the supporting papers.

Glue a recent passport-sized picture to the right spot on the application form.

When you apply for a work visa, you also need to turn in an HIV (AIDS) test certificate from the last three months. On the day you apply, the HIV Test (AIDS) Certificate should still be good for 15 to 30 days.

Health insurance that covers at least €30,000 and is good in Russia.
